The history of Econika Medical Engineering begins on November 16, 1990.

A group of young scientists and developers, headed by Doctor of Technical Sciences, Professor E. Nazarov, united for the joint implementation of the creative and scientific potential.

A new direction in medicine — ozone therapy, which is gaining strength, has come to the attention of the developers. Its appearance is due to the search for new, more effective methods of treatment extremely serious patients with intoxication, sepsis and antimicrobial-resistant infection.

Convinced of the unique properties of ozone, the advantages of this method and its popularity in the world, it was decided that this direction is worth attention. But the widespread introduction of ozone therapy methods in Ukraine was restrained by the lack of high-quality and certified domestic equipment for ozone therapy and official permission from the Ministry of Health for the practical implementation of these treatment methods.

1993 was recorded by the appearance of the ozonizers the Bozon family — the first prototype, which will serve as a prototype for further development and improvement of ozonizers. In the period from 1993-2001, the enterprise increased its production potential.

Close cooperation with Russian colleagues: Central Scientific Research Laboratory of the Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Institute (Prof. S. Peretyagin), the Department of Clinical Laboratory Diagnostics of the Nizhny Novgorod State Medical Academy (Prof. Kontorshchikova K.N., Prof. O.V. Maslennikov), Military Medical Institute of the Federal Border Service of the Russian Federation, N. Novgorod (prof. Boyarinov GA), Chemical Faculty of the Moscow State University M.V. Lomonosov, LLC “Medozon”, Moscow (Zaitsev V.Y.), Institute of Biochemical Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow (V.V. Podmoster’ev), made it possible to develop methods of ozone therapy and develop unique medical equipment that ensures safe and correct ozone-therapeutic procedures.

In 2003, 1st conference was held, where experimental and clinical materials, as well as the latest developments in the field of technical support for carrying out ozone therapy procedures were presented. Ozonizers of the Bozon family produced by Econika Medical Engineering aroused increased interest of the conference participants.

In the same year, 2003, Econika became a member of the All-Ukrainian Association of Ozone Therapists and Manufacturers of Medical Equipment for Ozone Therapy.

In 2004 Ukrainian Ministry of Health of and the Ukrainian Center for Scientific Medical Information and Patent and Licensing Work approved the METHODS OF APPLICATION OF OZONE IN MEDICINE. In the same year, 2004, technical conditions 33.1-22456491-001-2004 were introduced to the automated ozone units «Bozon». Received the Certificate of State Registration.

The participants of the 2nd conference highly praised and appreciated the comfort level and convenience in use, ergonomics, and safety of the Bozon family ozone equipment.

In 2006 Econika became a member of the Asian-European Union of Ozone Therapists and Medical Equipment Manufacturers. Participates in the III conference. 152 people from more than 30 cities of Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, Moldova, Lithuania, Germany took part in the conference. More than 30 scientific reports were presented. The exhibition hall showcases the latest developments of the Bozon family of ozonizers: Bozon-N, Bozon Bagto-Laser, Bozon-Sneg, Bozon-Lor, Bozon-MOM

In 2007, the 5th International Symposium on Ozone Applications was held in Cuba, Havana.

Representatives of the world’s leading manufacturers of ozone therapy equipment took part in the work. Odessa association «OZON-XX1» was represented by the co-chairman of the association, DrSci, Professor E.I. Nazarov.

2008, the first international congress of the Federation of Oxidative and Ozone Therapy was held in Mexico, Mexico City. At the conference was held an educational training on the conduction of ozone therapy procedures using ozonizers «Bozon».

2009, participation in the First Congress of the Spanish Association of Ozone Therapists (AEPROMO), Madrid and the 1st National Congress of the Turkish Association of Ozone Medicine, Istanbul.

In 2010, a new method of ozone therapy is being actively developed — extracorporeal processing of large volumes of blood in the treatment of viral hepatitis.

A program for evaluating the course of ozone therapy O3 Navigator is being developed. Technical innovations were brought up for discussion in the report of the Fifth (5th) Asian-European Conference.

Active participation in conducting seminars on cosmetology in Malaysia, India, Turkey.

2011 is being developed the direction «Ozone therapy in dentistry».

In 2012, Econika presented its developments at the 6th scientific-practical conference with international participation “OZONE IN BIOLOGY AND MEDICINE”.

In 2014, started operations on the construction and implementation of a quality management system (hereinafter — QMS) based on the DSTU ISO 13485: 2005 standard “Medical products. Quality management systems”, the QMS certification was achieved in 2015.
